The Grand Champion Kentucky Country Ham sold for $10 million Thursday morning during the 62nd annual Kentucky Country Ham Breakfast the Kentucky State Fair.
The ham that came from Clifty Farms Country Meats of Scottsville was auctioned off by Kentucky Champion Auctioneer Luke Wood from Benton made the final call.
click to download audioAlthough the ham did not break the 11 million dollar record, Kelly and Joe Craft parternered with Central Bank and President Luther Deaton to purchase the ham for 10 million dollars.
Kelly Craft says their five million dollar donation will go to help Boys and Girls Clubs and the FFA in a central Kentucky in Barren County.

Lt. Governor Jaquelyn Coleman and democratic Gubernatorial candidate Rocky Adkins were on hand for the breakfast, with Governor Andy Beshear not in attendance. Noticably absent from the Kentucky Farm Bureau Country Ham Breakfast was United State Senator Mitch McConnell who is continung to recover following a recent illness and hospitalization.
