Seventy-one years after the Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter put Christian County on the UFO map, the community is once again embracing its little green men with the second annual GoblinCon.
The two-day event at the Bruce Convention Center brings together people interested in UFOs, paranormal activity, cryptids and all things unexplained. Visitors can browse vendors, check out unusual exhibits, hear from researchers and paranormal investigators, and learn more about the 1955 encounter that has become a lasting part of Hopkinsville’s history.
There is plenty for families to see and do as well, with interactive displays, games, entertainment and activities for children. Whether visitors came looking for answers about the unexplained or simply wanted to see what GoblinCon was all about, the event offered a unique way to celebrate one of the more unusual chapters in Christian County’s history.
