The Wellness Collective Rooted in Family

For Courtney Fogle and Mandy Guffey, The Wellness Collective was built on a simple idea: creating a place where people can learn, connect, and explore wellness resources in a welcoming environment.

The co-owners of The Wellness Collective, located at 800 S. Virginia St., Suite C, Hopkinsville, KY, said they hope to provide education and resources for those interested in learning more about a natural approach to wellness.

The pair first met several years ago through Crossfit, where they would occasionally talk during workouts. Their friendship developed later after Guffey’s husband injured his back and began seeing Fogle for massage therapy. As the families got to know one another, they discovered they shared many of the same values surrounding health and wellness.

Fogle is entering her fifth year as a massage therapist, while Guffey graduated from Hopkinsville Community College’s massage therapy program in 2025.

Guffey said returning to school was driven by a desire to better care for her family.

The idea for The Wellness Collective came together after Fogle called Guffey in November 2024, with a vision for something bigger than either could create alone.

Fogle said once the conversation started, everything happened quickly.

While both women appreciate the role of traditional medicine, they said they wanted to create a space that also offers natural wellness resources–the same products, services, and practices they trust with their own families.

For Guffey, that passion grew from a frightening experience involving one of her daughters when she was young.

She said growing up, taking her children to the doctor for every illness was simply what she believed was best.

When her daughter was 3 years old, Guffey said she developed a severe reaction after taking an antibiotic prescribed for a sinus infection.

A month later, the family rushed their daughter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center after she began experiencing intense pain. Doctors believed she had a staph infection in her hip and took her into surgery. Guffey said surgeons found no infection. During her week-long hospital stay, the infectious disease team was brought in, and Guffey said the lead doctor questioned why her daughter had been prescribed an antibiotic in the first place.

That experience changed everything.

Guffey said she immersed herself in research, joined support groups, and began learning about natural wellness practices she could use to care for her family. She said that journey is why the Wellness Collective exists in her heart.

For Fogle, years working with athletes and active individuals reinforced her passion for helping people care for their bodies through movement, recovery, and proper nutrition. She said that passion naturally aligned with the vision she and Guffey now share.

Guffey said she still remembers exactly where she was when Fogle called with the idea that would become The Wellness Collective.

As they began building the business, the mission remained simple.

The products, therapies, and services offered at The Wellness Collective are ones Fogle and Guffey said they have researched extensively, and feel comfortable recommending because they are the same things they choose for their own families.

Fogle said one of the business’s greatest strengths is the relationships they have built. Through connections across Hopkinsville, Clarksville, Nashville and beyond, she said they can help connect people with trusted providers when they do not have the answers themselves.

One of Guffey’s favorite parts of the business is its name.

She said when Fogle shared a brainstorming document titled “The Wellness Collective,” she assumed it was simply a working title. Instead, it became the perfect reflection of what the business would become.

Guffey said the name has taken on even a greater meaning as more providers have joined the business, creating a network of people who share a common goal of serving the community.

Fogle said she prayed the name would be well received, and now believes it perfectly reflects what they have built together.

Today, The Wellness Collective is home to providers offering massage therapy, craniosacral therapy, IV hydration therapy, thermography, quantum neuro reset therapy, speech-language pathology, functional medicine services, sauna sessions, red light therapy, locally sourced honey, and natural, high-quality supplements.

Beyond its wellness services, The Wellness Collective also hosts a monthly autism support group. With both Fogle and Guffey raising children on the autism spectrum, they said creating a place where families can connect, encourage one another, learn, and share experiences has become one of the business’s most meaningful offerings.

For Fogle and Guffey, The Wellness Collective has become more than a place to offer wellness services. They said they hope it continues to be a space where people feel welcomed, find trusted resources, and discover a community that supports them wherever they are on their wellness journey.
