A Celebration of Life for Carol Ann Courtney, 63, of Hopkinsville, will be held at a later date. King’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Carol Ann Courtney passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the home of her friend, Susan Teague, in Hopkinsville.
Born July 3, 1962, in East Chicago, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Ray Courtney and Susan Marie Ozelie Morris. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Barrett.
Carol attended Voice of Faith Church in Crofton. She dedicated 28 years of service to Martinrea and was known for her strong work ethic and caring nature. She loved horses and found great joy in helping and serving others whenever she could.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Ray Barrett (Amy) and Jimmy Lee Barrett, both of Hopkinsville; one daughter, Louann Barrett of Hopkinsville; one brother, Edward Courtney (Goldie) of Hopkinsville; five grandchildren, Breanna Craft (Taylor Freeman), Chloe Fox (Adam), Haley Harris (Landen), Katie Barrett, and Ethan Barrett, all of Hopkinsville; and four great-grandchildren, Easton Joiner, Harper Freeman, Coleson Freeman, and Bethany Harris.
She also leaves behind her cherished friends, Susan Teague of Hopkinsville and Emily “Boogie” Tyler (Hunter) of Crofton, as well as many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
