A single-vehicle crash on Crofton Firetower Road sent a man to a Nashville hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say that at 4:50 pm, an SUV driven by 43-year-old Joel Howell ran off the road and collided with a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesman Captain Payton Rogers says Howell was taken by ambulance to Crofton Elementary to meet with a waiting helicopter that flew him to a Nashville hospital.
