A Hopkinsville woman was charged with criminal mischief and assault after a report of a theft in progress on South Henderson Drive Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say the homeowner called for police after he found 21-year-old Carrie Johnson in his car and a broken window.
She was reportedly extremely intoxicated and attacked the homeowner with pepper spray.
Johnson was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, alcohol intoxication in a public place, and second-degree criminal mischief.
