Storms Possible Friday With Sunny Skies Returning Saturday

The NWS Paducah says you’ll notice hazy skies Thursday due to smoke from distant wildfires burning across Alberta in northwest Canada.

After a couple of sunny days, rain chances and thunderstorms return for Friday and early Saturday.

Weather Edge forecaster David Powell says the area is under a marginal risk for severe storms Friday.

Powell adds that skies will begin to clear Saturday.

He says that area farmers need a stretch of dry weather.

Highs in the 80s are expected through Friday, with mid-70s possible over the weekend and temperatures rising to the low-to-mid 80s again by Monday.
