Two Charged With Drug Possession

A Hopkinsville man and woman were charged with possession of drugs after a traffic stop on South Fowler Avenue Saturday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 51-year-old Frank Williams was stopped for his windshield being obstructed and during the stop, officers could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

After a search of the vehicle, police say marijuana, two smoking pipes, and meth were found.

A juvenile in the area reportedly told police a passenger in the vehicle 22-year-old Ashley Mann tossed an unknown pill outside of the vehicle, it was located and Mann admitted it was hers.

They were both arrested and charged with possession of meth, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Mann was also charged with tampering with physical evidence.
