I-24 Christian County Milling, Paving Postponed To June 9

Milling and paving operations planned for I-24 in Christian County have been postponed until Thursday, June 9.

According to officials with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 2, the section of I-24 to be addressed is between mile points 86.77 and 92.33, and it was originally scheduled to begin June 2.

With this westbound rehabilitation come some advised height, width and weight restrictions. Vehicles larger than 16.53 feet tall, 10.25 feet wide or weighing more than 60 tons should take other routes when work begins next week.

This work is schedule for fall completion. Possible detours include an eastbound choice of I-69 to the Western Kentucky Parkway to Natcher Parkway and finally to I-65 South to I-24, and a westbound choice of I-65 North to Natcher Parkway to the Western Kentucky Parkway to I-69 to I-24.
