The sentencing of a Tennessee man accused in a fatal shooting at an East 9th Street gas station in Hopkinsville was continued to next month in Christian Circuit Court.

Dalton Hall, of Springfield, is charged with murder in the fatal shooting of 31-year old Delmour Moncrief on April 10th, 2021 at the Valero gas station.

In Christian Circuit Court Wednesday morning, Hall, his court-appointed attorney Eric Bearden and Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling appeared before Judge John Atkins who continued the sentencing because necessary paperwork has not been completed.

Boling told Judge Atkins that the family of Moncrief had traveled from out of state and were in the courtroom to make a statement during Hall’s sentencing. Judge Atkins called the victim’s family members to the bench and told them sentencing had been delayed. He then asked them if they wanted to come back to court to make their statement or if they wanted to appear via Zoom?
