Christian County Chamber Honors 2022 Compass Award Winners

An Agricultural service business and three organizations dedicated to making the community a better place to live, work, and play are among those recognized with Compass Awards by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber members and award nominees gathered Thursday night at The Silo event center to learn about the winners of the 2022 Compass Awards. Kate Russell with Hopkinsville Brewing presented the Sunset Award to Ernie Hampton and Hampton Meats for more than 46 years of service to the community, with Russell noting it began with Hampton’s father E. G. “Uncle Bummy” Hampton.

click to download audioMeanwhile, Pennyrile Area Development District Director Jason Vincent presented the Friend of the Community Award to the Hopkinsville Rotary Club, which recently raised more than $536,000 during the 72nd annual fundraising auction.

The Wellness award was presented to Pennyroyal Hospice. The Horizon Award was presented to The Local Irish Pub. J. Schrecker Jewelry was honored with the Retail Award. The Specialized Service Award was presented to Ash Brunson’s All Clean. Kona Ice won the Spirit of Entrepreneurism award. And the Quality Service Award went to Jennie Stuart Health. And Southern States was honored with the Industrial-commercial Service award.
