Trigg Hospital’s Save On Drugs Remodel Beginning Soon

A remodel of the former Save On Drugs facility in Cadiz, now owned by the Trigg County Hospital, will soon be underway.

During Wednesday’s special session of the Trigg County Hospital Board, a pair of bids were accepted totaling nearly $90,000 in work — in what will eventually be a second health clinic for the organization, and not unlike Trigg County Primary Care in functionality.

Industrial Piping out of Hopkinsville was awarded a plumbing contract north of $24,000, while Ace Drywall & Acoustical out of Cadiz was awarded a contract for the framing, boarding, dry walling, grid ceiling, interior doors and painting for close to $66,000.

Trigg County Hospital CEO John Sumner said that he’s looking for bids in other areas of the remodel, and those notices will soon be posted.

Sumner also noted that one regional doctor could soon be joining the hospital’s surgical team.
