Christian Co School Board Takes Next Steps In Construction Project

Architects for the new Christian County Public Consolidated High School are optimistic that construction documents will be completed by May and construction will get underway this summer.

Hafer Associates Architect, Jack Faber presented the School Board with the design development documents.

click to download audioIt will still have to be approved by the Kentucky Department of Education. He adds that more details about the building will be coming once the state offers approval.

click to download audioThe Board approved multiple state-required items related to the project including an amended BG-1 for the land on Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane that included the final $6 million pricetag and the $16,000 closing costs. The Board also approved bidding out the erosion, grading, and building pad work at the site to start in May.

Assistant Superintendent Jessica Addison asked the board to approve the phase 2 partnership with Ford Next Generation Learning.
