Hopkinsville Woman Wanted For Attempted Assault In Custody

A woman that was wanted in connection to an attempted assault on October 26th was taken into custody Thursday afternoon.

Hopkinsville Police say 23-year-old Kayla Knight was wanted for attempted first-degree assault, first-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree terroristic threatening.

On October 26th Knight reportedly was angry with a cashier and began yelling at the cashier and slung the drink she was holding across the counter. As she was escorted out of the business police say Knight got in her car and reversed then pulled forward trying to hit the employee.

In a separate incident on December 13th, Knight reportedly threatened bodily harm to someone several times then keyed their vehicle and left large muddy ruts in their yard.

Knight was arrested at the Hopkinsville Police Department Thursday afternoon.
