A garage was damaged in a fire on Streetland Drive in Cadiz on Thanksgiving morning.
Cadiz Fire Chief Thomas Futrell says a small fire in the garage caused the home to be filled with smoke just before 11 am. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire shortly after they arrived with only minimal damage to the garage.
Futrell says they had to get the family’s pet out of the home but no one was injured in the fire.
The home is located at 221 Streetland Drive. Cadiz Fire Department had 14 firefighters respond. Firefighters were assisted by Cadiz Police Department and Trigg County EMS.
