Kimberly Boyd-Linton Files For Seat On Trigg Fiscal Court

The first candidate to file for the District 3 magistrate’s seat on Trigg County Fiscal Court is Kimberly Boyd-Linton.

She made her candidacy official Monday and seeks to become the first African-American female to serve on Trigg Fiscal Court. Boyd-Linton filed as a Democrat.

Republican Cameron Sumner is the incumbent in the district, which is comprised mostly of northern Cadiz and the area north of the city limits.

Each of the seven magisterial districts in Trigg County has had at least one candidate file except for District 5, currently served by Magistrate Alana Baker Dunn.

The deadline to file for partisan races in Kentucky is January 7.
