Dateline NBC To Feature Pembroke Murders

The heinous triple murder that occurred in Pembroke in November 2015 that took on a national appeal will be featured on Dateline NBC Friday evening.

“Dateline NBC: The Evil That Watches” will feature the murders of Calvin and Pamela Phillips and their neighbor Ed Dansereau. Calvin Phillips was found shot to death in his home, while the bodies of his wife Pamela and Dansereau were discovered several hours later a few miles away in the burned remains of a vehicle on Rosetown Road near Pembroke.

Dateline NBC released a preview of the 30th Season Premier of the episode hosted by Keith Morrison.

click to download audioA former Army major stationed at Fort Campbell and commercial pilot, Christian “Kit” Martin was convicted by a Hardin County jury in June in connection to the murders. He was found guilty on three counts of murder, two counts of first-degree burglary, one county of first-degree arson, one count of criminal attempt to commit arson and three counts of tampering with physical evidence. Christian County Circuit Court Chief Judge John Atkins formally sentenced Martin last month to life in prison without the possibility of parole with his defense attorneys immediately filing an appeal.

The trial in Hardin County and his sentencing in Christian Circuit Court gained national attention when both were covered and broadcast on Court-TV.

The episode will air on Dateline NBC Friday evening at 8:00 local time.
