A Cadiz man was charged with assaulting his wife during an argument Thursday night.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to Beechwood Drive for 46-year-old James Bopes, who was holding his wife down on a bed and threatening to kill her.
The fight was reportedly over photos found on Bopes’s phone of infidelity.
A woman and two juveniles were also in the home at the time but were able to escape and call for law enforcement.
Deputies say Bopes was highly intoxicated at the time. He was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and fourth-degree assault.
