NOAA Weather Radio Transmitter Down In Clarksville

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather radio transmitter is off the air in Clarksville.

Officials said that could affect how people get warnings and watches via their weather radios. The weather radio transmitter in Clarksville will affect weather radios in portions of Christian and Todd counties in Kentucky and Montgomery, Stewart, Dickson, and Robertson counties in Tennessee. This only affects products issued by the National Weather Service in Nashville, Tennessee, which does not issue warnings for Christian and Todd counties.

NWS Nashville said crews are working on getting the transmitter back up as soon as possible, but it’s unknown when it could be up and running again.
