The Princeton Art Guild is showcasing the leather and jewelry work of Gloria Hollifield, of Benton, in the Charles Alvin Lisanby Gallery this month.

According to a social media post by Hollifield, handmade leather bags and journals are her latest art-inspired work but she also designs jewelry using upcycled items from junk stores and flea markets as well as other unique items. She says recently, her latest journey in the art field has been making handbags and clutches out of leather. She adds the feeling of creating something real from an abstract thought, or completing a difficult task is therapeutic and just plain fun too.

You can check some of Hollifield’s leather and jewelry work on her Facebook page Key to Your Heart.

The Princeton Art Guild will host a reception to honor Hollifield and her work Sunday afternoon, March 14, from 2:00 until 3:30.
