The 101st Airborne Division will conduct a change of command ceremony Friday.
The installations public affairs staff says Major General Brian Winski will hand over command of the 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell to Major General J.P. McGee. Winski has served as Commander of the 101st Airborne Division since 2019.
McGee is a native of Atherton, California, and was commissioned as an Infantry Lieutenant from the United States Military Academy and graduated from West Point in 1990. McGee served at Fort Campbell from 2006 to 2009 and eventually assumed command of the 2d Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st BCT (Bastogne), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
The ceremony is scheduled for 2:00 Friday afternoon and will be live-streamed here.
