Kentucky’s COVID-19 Positivity Rate Decreased To 5.52% Friday

Governor Andy Beshear announced the state’s positivity rate decreased to 5.52 percent Friday.

The governor said we’re still not out of the woods with this horrible virus, but every week, we’re taking another step forward in our fight against it.

As of Friday afternoon, the state reported 1,180 new cases and 30 new deaths, raising the death toll from the virus to 4,600. There are currently 818 cases hospitalized, 218 in ICU, and 105 on a ventilator.

Governor Beshear also renewed his executive order requiring face coverings for another 30 days.
