Beshear Orders Flags to Half-Staff To Remember Over 500K COVID Related Deaths

In accordance with a proclamation from the White House, Governor Andy Beshear has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff until sunset Friday to commemorate the milestone of more than 500,000 American lives lost to the coronavirus.

Governor Andy Beshear and his wife Britainy joined President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill along with Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Douglass Emhoff in observing a moment of silence at sundown Monday night in remembrance of those who have died from the virus.

Governor Beshear encourages individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the commonwealth to join in this tribute.
