U.K. Ag Hosting Kentucky Irrigation Workshop

The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture is hosting the Kentucky Irrigation Workshop Thursday, February 18, with a number of important topics on the agenda.

The workshop kicks off at 9 and continues until 11 in a virtual format. A number of University of Kentucky specialists will talk about irrigation and some important topics to be considered.

Dr. Montse Salmeron will discuss crop water demands and when to irrigate. Dr. Ole Wendroth will talk about soil dynamics and variability. Matt Dixon will discuss when is the best time to irrigate in the state. Dr. Carrie Knot talks about how irrigation affects corn canopy temperature, and Dr. Chad Lee discusses adjusting crop management options with irrigation.
