Trigg Teachers Take COVID-19 Shot In Honor Of Former Co-worker

Five Trigg County teachers recently took their COVId-19 vaccination shots in honor of former Trigg County High School teacher Simone Parker, who passed away earlier this month after a battle with the virus.

In a picture that was shared Sunday on Governor Andy Beshear’s Facebook page teachers Trish Tyre, Brandi Southwood, Brian Parker, Terri Blakeley, and Deena Smith posed for the photo after receiving the vaccination Thursday, January 21. Each of the teachers wrote Simone Parker on their bandage in her honor.

Governor Beshear added Simone Parker was a teacher who made a difference in Kentucky, taken too soon by COVID-19. He adds we mourn the losses, but we must also honor them by doing everything we can to protect against further loss.
