Clarksville Man Identified As Victim In Pedestrian Accident

Authorities have identified a Clarksville man that was killed in a pedestrian accident on Eagle Way Friday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 35-year-old Marquis Patterson was walking in the area of Bradshaw Road, when he was hit by a westbound car driven by 19-year-old Kaitlynn Dubois, of Pembroke.

Dubois reportedly told police she had just turned onto Eagle Way from Bradshaw Road and started to pick up speed, when she adjusted her stereo and hit something in the roadway she thought was a deer. Police say Dubois called her father and turned around. Dubois found Patterson in the median and she and her father attempted to do CPR but could not revive him.

Patterson was reportedly wearing all dark clothing. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Christian County Coroner’s Office. Patterson was identified after a missing person report was called into authorities.

The accident happened just after 9 pm.
