PADD Thanks Humphries For Years Of Service

A Kentucky Senator from Trigg County was thanked for his service in Frankfort Monday afternoon during the Pennyrile Area Development District (PADD) Christmas Legislative Update virtual meeting.

Senator Stan Humphries of Cadiz announced that he would not seek re-election during the same meeting last year. The outgoing Senator thanked everyone he had worked with during his time in office, especially those who had conversations with him in the last year.

Board Vice-Chair and Trigg County Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander thanked Humphries for his service, especially when it came to a TVA bill.

Regarding that TVA bill, Senator Humphries said the interesting thing to come is how the state bounces back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

He added the TVA bill allows small communities to get the shot in the arm they need.

Humphries also wished the best to Governor Andy Beshear.

Humphries served as the First District Senator in the Kentucky Senate since 2013. He served residents in Trigg, Lyon, Calloway, Graves, Fulton, Hickman, and Carlisle counties.

PADD Executive Director Jason Vincent wished Humphries the best in his future endeavors and thanked him for all he has done for the region. Humphries had also served as Trigg County Judge-Executive from 2006 to 2013.

On January 1, Jason Howell will become the Senator for the First District.
