Jessica Addison Selected to 2021 Kentucky Women in Education Leadership

The Kentucky Association of School Administrators recently selected a Christian County Public Schools employee for its 2021 cohort of the Kentucky Women in Education Leadership (KWEL).

District Communications Director John Rittenhouse said Jessica Addison, Director of Instruction for the district, joins a statewide class of 24 inductees. He added KWEL is designed for women working in P-12 public education who wish to strengthen or advance their careers. KWEL members benefit from a support system, leadership development opportunities, career advancement, shared experiences through a network of on-going professional growth and development, coaching and mentoring, and reward and recognition for exemplary leaders.

KWEL selected the cohort members based on leadership criteria, diversified education experience, talent, and desire to ensure all students receive a world-class education. They, along with some of the state’s top female executive educators, will convene at the KWEL forum, Women Leading Women: Courageous, Compassionate, Capable, March 18-19, 2021, in Louisville for an induction ceremony and leadership forum.

In addition to this appointment, Addison serves as a member of the Kentucky Department of Education’s Curriculum Task Force.

The Kentucky School Leaders Association is the largest school administrator group in Kentucky, representing more than 3,100 education leaders from across the commonwealth.
