Ruth Lynch Named to Kentucky Martin Luther King Jr. Commission

Governor Andy Beshear has appointed a Hopkinsville woman to serve as a member of the Martin Luther King Jr. State Commission.

Beshear appointed Ruth Lynch, who is a retired school administrator. She replaces John Johnson, who resigned. She will serve the remainder of his unexpired term ending December 12, 2022.

The commission was founded in August 1992, and its mission is to promote the principles of racial equality and nonviolent social change espoused by the late civil rights leader.
