Six COVID Related Deaths Reported in Caldwell County

The Pennyrile District Health Department reported eight COVID-19 related deaths in its district Monday, including six in Caldwell County.

According to the health department, the deaths in Caldwell County include a 69-year old female, a 94-year old female, two 80-year old males, an 81-year old female, and an 84-year old male. The other two deaths reported were a 70-year old female in Crittenden County and a 70-year old female in Livingston County.

Caldwell County Judge-Executive Larry Curling tells the News Edge ten new cases were reported in the county over the weekend and Monday. Eight of those cases were confirmed Saturday, there were no new cases on Sunday, and two were reported on Monday. He says all the cases are recovering at home and include eight females and two males ranging in age from 10 to 60.

Since the outbreak began nine months ago 679 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Caldwell County.

The Pennyrile District Health Department reported 36 total new cases in its district Monday, including the ten in Caldwell. Of the 36 cases, sixteen are in Trigg County, five in Lyon, three in Crittenden, and two in Livingston County.
