HCC’s Round Table Literary Journal Unveiled Monday

Hopkinsville Community College unveiled the 54th annual Round Table Literary Journal Monday.

The work is composed of poetry, prose, and visual artwork from 105 artists and writers from the Pennyrile region as well as various locations across the U.S., Canada, and Italy.

The publication’s editorial staff received roughly 150 submissions over the year-long application window.

HCC announced Hege Lepri as the winner of the 2020 Frances Thomas Memorial Flash Fiction Award for “A Move.” Second place went to Kristin Kozlowski, “What My Favorite Writer Would Say,” and Douglas MacDonald received third place for “The Last Frontier.”

Only the first-place winner will be published in the print edition.

In place of an unveiling ceremony, Round Table contributors will send videos of themselves reading excerpts from their writing to be compiled into a video presentation that will be shared online at a later time.
