Employees at a local restaurant were recently blessed thanks to a donation from regular customers.
Judy Tobey, owner of Taste of the South in Cadiz, tells the News Edge when the COVID-19 pandemic began, this couple gave each of the employees $20. She adds for Thanksgiving; the couple stepped up to help her employees.
Tobey says she was bawling on the way to the bank and when handing out the money.
This year has been tough on everyone, and Tobey says the community support has been nothing short of amazing.
Taste of the South is located at 1842 Canton Road in Cadiz and will be back open Friday and Saturday for to-go orders from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The restaurant will also be open Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
