The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a Red Flag Warning for western Kentucky through 6:00 Thursday evening.
Meteorologists indicate that southerly winds from 15 to 25 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph and 18 to 25 percent relative humidity and relatively dry conditions will create a high fire risk. They add any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
