Mobile Home Destroyed in Caldwell County Fire

A mobile home on Farmersville Road in Caldwell County was destroyed in a fire Tuesday night.

Princeton Assistant Fire Chief Tim Cook tells the News Edge when firefighters from the Princeton and Fredonia Fire Departments arrived on the scene at 12855 Farmersville Road the single-wide mobile home was fully engulfed. He says firefighters battled the trailer fire as well as a propane tank nearby that had caught on fire due to the heat from the home. He adds the relief valve on the propane tank had activated and kept it from exploding while they fought to extinguish the blaze.

According to Cook, a female family member was treated at the scene for minor burns to her arm after she tried to save a pet from the home.

Cook says the mobile home was a complete a loss and firefighters were able to save two outbuildings and an carport near the residence.
