Christian County Chamber Again Honored With 5-Star Accreditation

The United States Chamber of Commerce was awarded the Christian County Chamber of Commerce the 5-Star Accreditation this week.

Chamber President Kelli Pendleton said it was presented to them because of their sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. She added Accreditation is the only national program that recognizes chambers for their effective organizational procedures and community involvement. To receive Accreditation, a chamber must meet minimum standards in its operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, and technology. This extensive self-review can take 6-9 months to complete.

Pendleton said they are honored and thrilled to have once again been recognized as a 5-Star Accredited Chamber of Commerce and that her team worked hard on this endeavor and are proud of the accomplishment.

Local chambers are rated Accredited, 3-Stars, 4-Stars, or 5-Stars, while state chambers are recognized as either Accredited State Chamber or Accredited State Chamber with Distinction.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world’s largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions, as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.

The Christian County Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1888 and boasts a membership base near 900 members. Their mission is to provide service and vigorous leadership on behalf of our members resulting in a prosperous economy for all Christian County citizens.
