Princeton Teen Facing Multiple Charges After Pursuit

Steven Moor McCracken County Jail Mugshot

A Princeton teen is facing numerous charges and another man is being sought by police after a pursuit in McCracken County.

Kentucky State Police say 18-year old Steven Moor was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police in a motor vehicle and on foot, receiving a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, and numerous other offenses.

State Police report Moor was taken into custody after a pursuit began on Interstate 24 in McCracken County after a trooper tried to  pull him over for speeding and reckless driving. The pursuit continued on other roads and ended in the Reidland community when Moor crashed into a car driven by 53-year old Jeffery Stone, of Paducah, at the intersection Reidland Road and Nickell Heights Road. The impact reportedly caused Stone’s vehicle to hit a utility pole and caused the state trooper involved in the pursuit to exit the road into a ditch to avoid a collision. State Police said Moor and his passenger, 21-year old Cameron Malone, also of Princeton, then ran into a wooded area where Moor was arrested and Malone was able to avoid capture and fled the area on foot.

State Police also said during the pursuit Trooper Landon Stewart observed Moor toss an item out of the vehicle which was later determined to be a handgun.

Police said Stone was transported by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Trooper Stewart was also transported by ambulance to Mercy Health-Lourdes Hospital in Paducah for minor injuries.

If anyone has any information regarding Malone’s whereabouts, call Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721.
