A heavily traveled bridge on Interstate 75 in northern Kentucky could be closed for a while.
During a news briefing, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said an accident between two semis occurred early Wednesday morning on the Brent Spence Bridge between Covington and Cincinnati.
As a result, a fire broke out that was extremely hot and potentially caused significant damage to the bridge.
The closure is expected to last a few days, but if there is significant damage, the structure could be closed for a lengthy period of time.
Anyone who needs to travel this route can detour around the bridge via I-275 or I-471.
