Trigg Magistrates Hear Update from Sheriff Acree

Trigg County magistrates heard an update from Sheriff Aaron Acree and approved an appointment to the Trigg County Hospital board during Monday evening’s meeting.

During his report, Sheriff Acree told magistrates his staff completed 501 calls for service in September and 387 in the first 18 days of October. Acree also shared that in the month of September his department worked 16 vehicle accidents, seven burglary reports, and at least three traffic stops that resulted in an arrest.

Acree expressed his gratitude to residents of Trigg County for all the support shown in the last month and a half.

Also, Acree said his department is fully staffed.

Acree added all his deputies bring an excellent background to the agency whether having training from Kentucky State Police, other law enforcement experience or working in various branches of the military. He said they are truly giving 110-percent to residents of the county.

In action, magistrates appointed Tina Loomis to the Trigg County Hospital board. Loomis is the sole State Farm agent in the county with an office located on Lakota Drive in Cadiz.

Judge-Executive Hollis Alexander said this comes after Melissa Hale moved and is no longer a resident of the county.

Loomis will serve a term through September 30, 2024.
