Christian County surpassed 1,500 total COVID-19 cases Thursday afternoon.
Health department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said there were 32 new cases Thursday meaning there have been 1,525 total COVID-19 cases. Of that 229 cases are active with 142 active cases among those 59 or younger and 87 either 60 or older.
In all, Sweeney added there have been 1,270 recoveries and 26 deaths since mid-March.
