Christian County Reports 19th COVID Linked Death

The Christian County Health Department confirmed Monday afternoon the county’s 19th COVID-19 related death.

Spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney said the 99-year-old white female had underlying medical conditions. She added their thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the deceased.

Sweeney said everyone needs to consider others and continue to do your part to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In new cases, Sweeney confirmed 15 raising the total cases to 1,207. There are now 204 active cases in the county with 100 between the ages of 22 and 59. Those 21 or younger comprise of 48 active cases and 56 active cases are among those 60 or older.

Christian County has reported 984 recoveries since mid-March.
