Two COVID-Linked Deaths Confirmed in Christian County Tuesday

Christian County Health Department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney confirmed two new deaths linked to COVID-19 Tuesday afternoon.

Sweeney says the 16th death was a 49-year-old Caucasian female and the 17th death was a 76-year-old Caucasian male, both with underlying health conditions. She says these cases are unrelated and that their thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and family of those lost.

Sweeney also announced 29 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, raising the county’s case total to 1,095. Even though the case total rose, the active case number is down to 164 from over 200 Monday.
