Two More COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Todd County Monday

The Todd County Health Department is reporting two new positive coronavirus cases were confirmed in the county Monday, one of which is an adult who has been reinfected with the virus.

Director Jen Harris reported the adult with underlying health conditions, who was one of the first cases in Todd County to test positive for COVID-19, has tested positive again. She said according to CDC guidelines persons testing positive for a second time within a 90-day period are not considered a new case, however, if 90 days have passed it is considered a reinfection. She added the adult has no contacts and is in a congregate setting.

According to Harris, the other coronarvirus case confirmed Monday is a healthy adult who is currently hospitalized with moderate symptoms. She says the patient is not connected with other cases and has less than ten contacts who have been notified by the health department to quarantine for 14-days.

As of Monday afternoon, there have been a total of 69 COVID-19 cases confirmed in Todd County with 21 currently active and 48 recoveries.
