Christian County’s Active COVID-19 Cases Continue To Climb

The number of new positive COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Christian County with the health department reporting 19 new active cases Wednesday afternoon.

Christian County Health Department spokeswoman Amanda Sweeney reports there are now 79 active cases. Of that number 51 of the cases are between the ages of 22 and 59, fifteen are under 21 years of age, eleven are 60 to 84 years old, and two of the cases are over the age of 85.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Christian County’s total number of coronavirus cases is 286 since March with 203 of those recovered from the virus. There have also been four deaths related to the virus since the virus outbreak began.
