New COVID-19 Case Numbers Remaining Stable in Kentucky

More than 230 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Kentucky Thursday afternoon, with Governor Andy Beshear reminding residents they can not become complacent over the holiday weekend.

Beshear said there were 239 new cases raising the statewide total to 16,079. He adds the case numbers are staying relatively stable. As we head into the holiday weekend, and as lots of families and friends get together, the governor says we have to keep in mind the things that will protect us.

The governor also confirmed nine new deaths Thursday, meaning 581 Kentuckians have lost their lives due to COVID-19. Among those announced include an 81-year-old woman from Logan County; a 90-year-old woman from Warren County; a 62 and 65-year-old man from Allen County; among others.
