A Cadiz man is facing charges in Caldwell County following an incident at a convenience store early Sunday morning.
Caldwell County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chris Noel states just before two deputies responded to requests for mutual aid at Blue Springs Market on Highway 139/Cadiz Road, which was in reference to a suspected intoxicated driver in the parking lot. He adds when deputies arrived they discussed the described driver, 37-year-old Richard Hart, with the Trigg County Sheriff’s sergeant on the scene and conducted a variety of field sobriety tests, leading them to determine Hart was allegedly under the influence.
Hart was taken into custody and charged with his second offense of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
