Adams Ready to Help State Park System

Hopkinsville native Will Adams was recently named the Deputy Kentucky Parks Commissioner and says he looks forward to the work ahead.

In a recent interview with the News Edge, Adams says he has worked for state government for the better part of the last decade.

Adams says it’s a challenging time to operate the park system and even harder to come up with any plans, at this time.

He adds they want to create more recreational opportunities for people.

The park system is making preparations to make sure all state parks are running smoothly after the COVID-19 pandemic became housing for members of the medical community.

Adams earned his undergraduate degree from Centre College and his law degree from the University of Kentucky. His first summer job was as a dockhand at Lake Barkley State Park Marina.

He currently lives in Lexington and is the son of Jim Adams, of Cadiz and Pam Smith, of Hopkinsville and Columbia Falls, Montana.
