Thorpe says the district is following all guidelines issued by the state in regards to when to reopen the district for the 2020-2021 school year.

Unless they are asked to move the date, students are scheduled to return to class on Wednesday, August 19, because of the renovation project.

Thorpe adds they are working to be ready for whatever Governor Andy Beshear asks school districts to do when students are supposed to return.

In other news from the district, Thrope says they are continuing to operate their summer feeding program on Tuesdays and Thursdays at six locations throughout the county. Food can be picked up at those locations from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
