The U.S. Forest Service announced Tuesday that more facilities at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area will be opening this week.
Officials with the forest service say the Wrangler’s Day Use, Golden Pond Visitor Center, North Welcome Station, and South Welcome Station will be reopening Thursday. As part of their phased approach to safely reopen facilities, they add the Golden Pond Planetarium within the visitor center will remain closed at this time.
Visitors are asked to recreate safely and review current recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention along with local and state guidelines for social distancing and wearing cloth face masks.
