University Heights Bestows Diplomas In Outside Ceremony (w/VIDEO)

Twenty-eight seniors from University Heights Academy overcame the challenges of the past few months to walk across the stage and earn their diplomas during Thursday’s graduation.

The class of 2020 was saluted by co-valedictorians Jackson Cotthoff, Roma Desai, and Kevi Sheth, along with Salutatorian Lainey Burman. Cotthoff said although this class of 2020 had challenges, they were able to overcome them.

During the ceremony the Dr. Melissa Yates Gray Memorial Science Scholarship was presented to Roma Desai and Kevi Sheth.

The Elizabeth Atwood Award was presented to Lilly Hendricks, the Kiwanis Citizenship Award went to Allison Sunderhaus, the Kiwanis Key Club Award was presented to Rachel Craig and Lilly Hendricks, and the Weidmer Faculty Award was presented to Technology Director Joanah Kendall.
Following the commencement, a parade was held to honor the class of 2020.
