FCHS Senior Graduation Video Premiere And Parade Taking Place Saturday

The Fort Campbell High School Class of 2020 will celebrate their graduation Saturday with a special video and a parade.

Principal Kim Butts says they had to use innovative techniques that allowed the 87 graduating seniors a chance to celebrate the end of their high school careers. The seniors, which practiced social distancing over a three day period, had a chance to visit the school with immediate family during an appointed time to be presented diploma covers, recorded a special shout out, and have photos taken.

The video was edited by a team of student volunteers under the guidance of Joel Brown, a video communications teacher at the school. It will be shown on the school’s website and Facebook page at 5:00 PM Saturday and will feature traditional speeches by guests, valedictorian, and salutatorian, as well as a signing of “The Star-Spangled Banner”.

A special parade will also be held Saturday afternoon on the installation. Members of the graduating class and school staff will take part in a vehicle parade ‪from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
